Sage Intacct - Web Services User Creation Steps

Key Information:

• ***When creating the (Web Services User) in Sage Intacct, please be sure to use a New / Unused email address
• The (Web Services User) will be used to Authenticate the Integration within Assignar after it has been created in Sage Intacct. 
• We will need the (Web Services User) created prior to the Sage Integration Configuration Call so that we will be able to create and assign the (Integration role) to the (Web Services User) during that call.

Steps to Create the (Web Services User) within Sage Intacct: 

• • Please sign into your Sage Intacct Environment and ensure that you are on the correct Sage (Entity).
  • Once in Sage and on the correct (Entity), please go to (Applications) at the Top Left 
    • Click (Company) and then select (Web Service Users) under the (Admin) tab
      • Once on the (Web Service Users) page, we will want to click (ADD) at the top right
        • For the (User ID) we recommend using (AssignarIntegration) for identification purposes, but you can enter whatever you would like. 
        • The (Username) is not a required field, but we recommend entering (Assignar Integration)
        • Before entering in an (Account Email Address), we highly recommend clicking on the (?) next to the (Primary Email Address). 
          • A pop up window will appear and explain the differences between the two since they can be the same or different. 
        • The (Status) will need to be (Active)
        • For (User Type) we are going to want it set to (Business)
        • For (Admin Privileges) we can leave them (FULL)
        • Next, we are going to need a (Contact Name)
          • This isn't needed for the integration, but Sage will need this field filled out to create the (Web Services User).
          • Before entering in an (Contact Name), we highly recommend clicking on the (?) next to the (Contact Name) for additional clarification as to why this field is required. 
          • Once you have reviewed the (?) please create or assign the (Web Services User) a (Contact Name)
          • The last step is to click (Save) at the top right and this will create and save the (Web Services User). 
  • During our Sage Configuration call, we will create the (Integration Role) and assign the role to the (Web Services User).
