Release 1
You now need to actively Apply Overtime Rules each week. A single button click will run all your timesheets through your rules. See the Run Overtime Rules article for more detailed information.
We're also changing how overtime rules are displayed on the Overtime Rules page, setting us up to create multiple groups of rules (release 4).
Release 2
If our overtime rules don't fully capture your payroll agreements, you can manually change the timesheet code that was applied to a timesheet by your rules.
From the Timesheets Weekly page, you can view all of the coded time for that worker across the whole week.
Click the edit icon next to a day to edit the timesheet codes on that day.
Release 3
Pay your workers differently at night? We'll be able to code that time differently! Set a time range for this new rule to kick in (i.e. 6pm - 6am). All night work can be coded as overtime, or you can use your existing daily/weekly/weekend rules to determine if night work is regular time, overtime, or second overtime and then apply specific night work timesheet codes to that time.
Release 4
Have different rules and different codes depending on the project? We got you covered! Create as many groups of overtime rules as you need. When you create a project, define which group of overtime rules should be used for timesheets submitted on that project.
We're also building more out of the box payroll exports. This will include a Xero and Foundations export, and potentially more!
Release 5
Approved time off will automatically generate a timesheet! That timesheet will then go through your overtime rules to get coded so the worker can get paid for their time off.
Release 6
Create rules to automatically add allowances to timesheets. This is still in discovery and we'd love your feedback! Here are some of the rules we're considering adding:
- Add a meal allowance if hours worker are >8.
- Add a travel allowance for timesheets on certain projects.
- Add 1 unit of productivity allowance per hour worked.
We will also give you the ability to specify allowance quantities both in mobile and on the dashboard.
Allowances will be added to the exports and you'll be able to easily view and edit allowances on the timesheet weekly page:
Release 7
Set timesheet codes for specific roles and activities within overtime rule groups. This allows you to pay your workers differently based on what role they carried out on a specific timesheet. Here's how it works:
- A timesheet will run though overtime rules to determine the pay category (regular time, overtime, second overtime)
- If the role on the timesheet matches a role in the override section of the rules, then the override codes for that role are used on the timesheet.
- If the role on the timesheet doesn't match a role in the override section of the rules, then the default timesheet codes are used.
- If the timesheet has an activity within these rules, that time will be coded with the code overrides you specify and you have the option to exclude this time from overtime calculations (it will not count toward daily/weekly time accruals toward overtime).
