In this article you will learn how to update the required Resource Quantity for each shift so you can better forecast your required resources each day and adjust resources based on the work needing to be performed each day. Watch the video and then read on to learn more.
Setting your Base Resource Quantity
When creating or editing an order, you can set a required quantity for each role. This will serve as the default quantity that will be in place for each day that the role is required.
Updating Resource Quantities for Specific Days
Let's say next week you need to increase staff on a wednesday for a large production push, its easy to do by adjusting the daily quantity. From the timeline view, simply click the menu option next to the role on a shift card and choose Edit Role Quantity.
In the popup you can choose a new quantity required for that day or for all future shifts.
Save the amount you need and when your return to the scheduler you will see the updated resources required for that shift, the example below the base was updated to 8 and is now showing as unfulfilled.
Updating Resource Quantities in Bulk
If you'd like to update quantities across all roles on a particular day, get started by clicking the menu in the shift card header next to notes and select Edit all Role Quantity.
Next deselect any roles you do not wish to update and then update the quantity for that day or for future days.
Now you will see updates on the scheduler.
