Legacy: Copy an Order

  • Updated

Speed up your allocations by copying orders that are occurring again for the next day or week.

Orders contain a lot of information so if you’re creating a new order that is similar to an existing order, it may be quicker to copy the existing order.

There are two ways to create a copy of an order:

  1. Click Orders Orders Copy

  2. Modify the order status and order start/end dates as required for the new order.

  3. Click on the toggle switch for Copy Resources to indicate whether you want to copy (blue) or not copy (white) allocated assets and workers to the new order.

  4. Click Copy to create a copy of the existing order but with the status, dates and resource preference entered in this popup box.

OR

  1. Click Orders Orders Edit

  2. Click Copy Order button in the top right of the Order Details tab.

  3. Modify the order status and order start/end dates as required for the new order.

  4. Click on the toggle switch for Copy Resources to indicate whether you want to copy (blue) or not copy (white) allocated assets and workers to the new order.

  5. Click Copy to create a copy of the existing order but with the status, dates and resource preference entered in this popup box.

Either way, you will see a message confirming that “Order [original order number] has been copied to order [copied order number].”

NB. When you copy an order, it’s still important to double-check all information under the Order Details, Order Tasks and Allocations tabs, especially the selected dates for each task.
