Link a worker, asset, or attachment to the supplier you hire it from, so you can track your cross-hired resources and apply the charge rates you pay for them.
|
Before you start The supplier must already exist in Assignar. If it does not, add the supplier first. Decide which workers, assets, and attachments you regularly cross-hire from each supplier so you know what to link. |
Where the Suppliers field lives
Every worker, asset, and attachment record has its own Suppliers field on its details panel. You assign a supplier by opening the record, choosing the supplier in that field, and saving. A single resource can be linked to more than one supplier.

Where assigned suppliers appear
Once a resource is linked to a supplier, the supplier shows on that resource's overview. When you build a schedule, you can search and filter workers and equipment by their supplier in the Scheduler, which makes it quick to pull up everything you cross-hire from a particular company.
Things to know
- A worker, asset, or attachment can be linked to more than one supplier at a time.
- Suppliers must be created before you can link them. You cannot create a new supplier from the Suppliers field.
- Removing a supplier from a resource does not delete the supplier or change past allocations.
- Charge rates for cross-hire are set on the supplier record, not on the resource. See Advanced: Adding pay rates to a supplier.
