Inductions

Inductions are what in many cases, field workers require in order to work for a particular client or on a specific site. Similar to competencies, these can also have expiry dates which can be tracked in the dashboard so you never miss another expiry date again. 

Adding a new Induction

1. Click Skills & Competencies & Inductions Inductions Add new induction to create a brand new induction.

2. Enter the induction name. This will appear on induction drop-down lists in dashboard induction screens as well as induction screens in the Fieldworker App.

3. Enable the Expiry Date required? and/or the Issue Date Required box depending on whether this induction needs to have an expiry or issue date entered and kept current.

4. Click Save Induction when you’ve finished creating this new induction. You will see a message to confirm that the induction has been added. You can always come back and edit the induction later.

Editing an Induction

1. Click Skills & Competencies & Inductions Inductions Edit to view and/or update details for an existing induction. 

2. Change the induction name. This will appear on induction drop-down lists in Dashboard induction screens as well as induction screens in the Fieldworker App.

3. Enable the Expiry Date required? and Issue Date Required? box depending on whether this induction needs to have an expiry or issue date entered and kept current.

4. Click Save Induction when you’ve finished making changes. You will see a message to confirm that the induction has been saved.

5. You can click back to the inductions list using the navigation buttons across the top of the screen or just go to a different screen by clicking an option in the side menu.

Deleting an Induction

If you delete an induction it will be removed from the inductions list permanently and it will also be removed from any fieldworkers that use that induction. Deleted inductions are no longer available to select in the drop-down list of inductions when adding or updating fieldworker induction details.

1. Click Skills & Competencies & Inductions Inductions Select the three dots next to the induction you wish to delete 

2. Select Delete 

3. You will see a message saying “Are you sure you want to permantely delete [induction name]? It will also remove all relations to other entities” Click OK (or cancel if you’re not sure).
