Archiving or Deleting Clients

If you have a Client that is no longer active or you are no longer doing work for them, you can archive or permanently delete them.

 

How to archive a Client 

  1. Under Project Data, navigate to the Clients page.
  2. Find the Client that you want to archive.
  3. Click themore_vert.pngicon.
  4. Archive

 

Once you've archived a Client...

  • It will automatically move to the Archived Clients page.
  • It will not be visible in any Client dropdown lists in other pages (e.g. Orders and Timesheets) or report filters (e.g. Client and Project Time).
  • New orders cannot be created for archived clients, however, all existing orders and timesheets can still be viewed in the system.
  • Any existing Projects related to an archived client will still exist, but it will no longer have a Client specified. So, you'll need to either archive the project/s as well, or associate it to another Client.

 

Restoring an archived Client

If you would like to view or restore a Client that has been archived:

  1. Under Project Data, navigate to the Archived Clients page
  2. Find the archived Client that you want to restore.
  3. Click themore_vert.pngicon.
  4. Restore

 

Permanently deleting a Client

If you would like to permanently delete a Client from Assignar, you can do so from the Archived Clients page. Note, this action cannot be undone.

  1. Under Project Data, navigate to the Archived Clients page
  2. Find the archived Client that you want to permanently delete.
  3. Click themore_vert.pngicon.
  4. Delete
