Set Up a Worker

Who this feature is for

  • Those set up as a Dashboard User with access to Workers page in the Assignar Web App.
  • Typically an admin responsible for setting up Assignar

You can create Worker user accounts, giving workers access to the Assignar Mobile App.

If you want to set up a lot of Workers in one go, you can use our Assisted Import, which allows you to set up your workers' accounts in bulk. Or, continue reading to learn how to add workers one at a time.

 

How to add a Worker User to Assignar

  1. Under Resources, go to the Workers page
  2. Tap Add new Worker
  3. Complete required fields
  4. Save User

 

After saving, let's set their user permissions

After you've created and saved your workers' information, you'll need to set their user access permissions. These settings control the types of data the user can create and edit in the Assignar Mobile App.

  1. After clicking Save User, you'll be taken to the User Access page
  2. Edit as required
  3. Save access settings

Field Description
Team Tags (User Tags) This worker will only see other workers with this tag in the Assignar Mobile App.
Asset Tags This worker will only see equipment (assets) with this tag in the Assignar Mobile App.
Document Tags This worker will only see documents with this tag in the Assignar Mobile App.
Order Search When enabled, this worker can search for Orders in the Assignar Mobile App.
Contact Search When enabled, this worker can search for contacts in the Assignar Mobile App.
Create Orders When enabled, this worker has access to create Orders in the Assignar Mobile App. 

 

 

After the Worker has been set up, they can then log into the Assignar Mobile App.

The worker can log in to the Assignar Mobile App using the credentials (Client ID and Username/Email*) that you set up above.

 

*Important Note: with the upcoming security upgrades, all users will be required to use an email address as their username.
