To get the most out of Assignar, let's begin by getting your Fieldworkers into our system. This will help you leverage our Scheduling module, so you can fully capitalize on your employees.

Under Settings, go to the Assisted Import page and tap Upload
Complete your Fieldworkers information
You'll then see a table where you can start to build up your Fieldworker's information.
| Fields | Field Description |
| Employee ID | This field is used to store a unique value from an external system, for example your HR or Payroll application. Including this data helps enable running payroll, so you can easily export data from Assignar and upload it to another application. |
| First Name (Required) | The first name of the Fieldworker. |
| Last Name (Required) |
The last name of the Fieldworker. |
| Employment Type (Required) |
Types of employment you give to your Fieldworkers (e.g. Full-Time, Part-Time, Temporary etc). |
| Email (Required) | The email address used to communicate with your Fieldworkers. Ideally this is their work email address but can also be a personal email address. |
| Date of Birth |
The birthdate of the Fieldworker. |
| Mobile Phone (Highly Recommended) |
The mobile phone number for the Fieldworker. Very important as you will be using their mobile phone to send SMS messages to the fieldworkers to notify them of their scheduled shifts. |
| Address |
The home address of the Fieldworker. |
| City/Suburb |
The City of Suburb in which the Fieldworker lives. |
| Zipcode / Postal Code |
The home zipcode / postal code of the Fieldworker. |
| State |
The home state of the Fieldworker. |
| Emergency Contact (Highly Recommended) |
The name of the Fieldworker’s emergency contact person. |
| Emergency Contact Phone (Highly Recommended) |
The phone number of the Fieldworker’s emergency contact. |
| Comments |
Any free form comments about the Fieldworker. |
| USI |
A Fieldworker’s student identification number. This is more applicable to areas outside of North America. |
| Tags |
Fieldworker tags are used to organize groups of workers and make them easy to find when scheduling or granting access to forms or other resources. This data type accepts a comma separated list of values. If the value is found to already exist we will add the fieldworker to it, if it does not yet exist we will create it. |
You can upload this data into Assignar
To make this process more efficient, you can tap Upload from file and upload this data into Assignar. Alternatively, you can manually type in this information too.
Map your uploaded data to the Assignar data types
Just think of this as moving the data from an external 'bucket' into the right Assignar 'bucket'. Once everything is correctly mapped, tap Review to preview your work before commiting.
We'll highlight any issues in red and give you the chance to fix them.
Data immediately flagged in red are improperly formatted or have missing data. Correct any issues in your data.
Once all your issues are corrected, tap Continue and your data will be uploaded. Success!
