Scheduled Site Diary Setup and Permissions

  • Updated

Before you start you should know

  • Site Diary can be submitted by a Fieldworker User set up as a Project Supervisor.
  • Make sure your workers have updated their Assignar Mobile App to the latest version (min v8.4+)

First, enable the Site Diary setting. From the Dashboard under View/Edit Settings, turn on the setting "Allow supervisors to create site diary".

There are two ways to give a worker the ability to create a Site Diary:

  1. Project Level
    • Make a worker a supervisor on the project.
    • The worker can create a Site Diary even if they aren't allocated, so long as:
      • There is a job/order scheduled for the day.
      • There are workers assigned to the job.
      • The Order is in either Confirmed or In Progress status.
  2. Role Level Supervisor
    • When you allocate a worker to a role which is designated as a "Supervisor Role", they will be able to complete a Site Diary for that allocation.

Project Supervisor Setup

  1. Go to the Projects web page
  2. Select a Project
  3. Within the Project's detail page, add 1 or more Supervisors in the Supervisors field.
  4. Save Project

Role Level Supervisor Setup

When you create or edit a role/task, select the "Supervisor" checkbox.

When you schedule a worker to a Supervisor role, you'll notice the blue star shield next to the role, indicating they can create a Site Diary.

Note: supervisors can also complete unscheduled site diaries, read about that here: Creating an Unscheduled Site Diary on Mobile
