Site Diary on the Web Dashboard

  • Updated

Who this feature is for

  • Those set up as a Dashboard User with access to Site Diary in the Assignar Web App.
  • Those responsible of reviewing Site Diaries, reviewing progress, budgets etc.

Site Diary is where Supervisors can record everything that happened on site from the Assignar Mobile App, such as Timesheets, Weather, Progress, Notes, Photos and Client Signatures.

Once a Site Diary has been created, you'll be able to view it from the Web App to get a good overview of what is happening on the job - they can be found from the left hand navigation under Field Data / Site Diary. All Site Diary data also feeds into the Order Summary.

By default, we filter the number of Site Diaries you can see in the table to 14 days. You can edit this filter using our quick filter shown below.

You can also search or filter using the search bar at the top of the page.

The filters and search are sticky

If you leave the page, you can come back with your previous filters still applied - like you never left!

Viewing Site Diaries in detail

You can also tap on a Site Diary in the table to open it in more detail. From here you can edit the diary or print a PDF copy to share externally.

Edit and Create Site Diary from the Dashboard

Dashboard users are able to create Site Diaries and make edits to existing Site Diaries.

Note on signatures:

  • If the Site Diary is edited, the original supervisor signature is replaced with when the dashboard user signs and submits with the edits.
  • If you edit a Site Diary that had a client signature, that client signature is removed when you make an edit. We are working on a remote sign-off feature later in 2025, but for now the client will need to re-sign on the supervisors mobile device.

If you create a site diary from the dashboard, it is only available on the dashboard, it is not tied to a supervisor and cannot be accessed from the mobile device.
