This article describes the necessary steps to set up the Sage Intacct integration depending on where data exists prior to setting up the Integration. Please see the following 3 scenarios below to determine which scenario that your company would fall under.
Before starting the Sage Intacct integration set up process we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the Sage Intacct field mappings described in the Sage Integration - Detailed Data Mapping / Enable Workflows support article.
***Please disregard the filters and the all the specific implementation detail and focus on understanding and remembering the field mappings between Assignar and Sage Intacct.
Client is New Assignar and has a New or Existing Sage Intacct
Please see the following integration setup instructions for a customer that is new to Assignar and has a new or existing Sage Intacct.
***Note: In some cases, our customer will want to begin using Assignar before they have fully set up their Sage Intacct. This can be done, but it will then require a true up process by our Customer Support team. If this is the option that you would like to perform, please reach out to our Customer Support team where there will reach out with next steps.
- If that path is chosen, the true up process can be made much simpler if the customer imports all of their employees/workers into Sage even if they aren't fully utilizing Sage just yet. This is because workers are often the most challenging item to true-up between the platforms. Import all workers into Sage, complete the 2 steps outlined below, then once they are ready to go live in Sage you will complete the steps outlined in Existing Assignar, Existing ERP.

- Enable the workflows in Assignar, this can be found in the Enable Workflows Article.
Existing Assignar, New ERP
Integration Setup Instructions for a customer that is an existing user of Assignar but is new to Sage Intacct.
- First, follow the Configuration and Authentication Article.
- Do not yet enable any workflows
- Next, you'll need to get all the Assignar data into Sage; please reach out to customer support for assistance in this process.
- Next, you'll need to run a true up process to link the data in Assignar and Sage.
- Follow the instructions here: Integrations Hub - True Up Process.
- And finally, enable the workflows in Assignar. This can be found in the Enable Workflows Article.
Existing Assignar, Existing ERP
Integration Setup Instructions for a customer that is an existing Assignar and Sage Intacct customer; data already exists in both systems.
- First, follow the Configuration and Authentication Article.
- Do not yet enable any workflows
- Next, you'll need to run a true up process. pre-integration, similar data lives in both Sage and Assignar, this true up process will provide an initial sync across both systems to eliminate duplicate data.
