After you've scheduled your jobs and resources, you can notify your workers from the Scheduler. There are a few options to send these assignment messages to workers. Once workers receive them, they can click the message to immediately get the job details and confirm the assignment.
How to notify everyone assigned to the Order
- Next to the Order Name, tap the icon.
- Tap Notify. You'll then be able to send an SMS with the job's details to everyone on the Order.
We'll send a message using a default SMS template. It will include a link to the Assignment for the worker to open in the Assignar Mobile App. While the default SMS template can't be changed, you can create a custom SMS template. You can learn how to set up the SMS template here.
How to notify everyone assigned to a particular Role
Similarly, you can notify all the workers assigned to a single Role or a single shift.
- Next to the Role name or the shift card, tap the icon.
- Tap Notify. You'll then be able to send a message with the job's details to everyone on the Order.
SMS messages have a limit of 160 characters per SMS
However, most phones will group multiple SMS messages together, so that they appear as a single message to the recipient. If you see a message that states that you are over the 160 character limit, you will still be able to send the message, however it will count as multiple SMS messages in your monthly quota.
