Switch between Workspaces

  • Updated

Switch between the Assignar accounts linked to your email address on the mobile app or the dashboard, without logging out.

Before you start

  • Your email address must be set up on more than one Assignar account. If it is on a single account only, the workspace switcher does not appear.
  • Each account must use the same email address. Ask your office administrator to add or correct your email on any account where it is missing.

What is a Workspace

A Workspace is one Assignar account. If you work for or with more than one company that uses Assignar, you can hold a separate worker or dashboard user account on each. Linking them to the same email lets you move between them without logging out and back in.

Common examples include a contractor who works for several builders, a supervisor managing multiple project sites under separate accounts, or a back-office user covering more than one entity.

Switch Account Workspace on mobile

  1. Tap your initials in the top-right corner of the home screen.
  2. Tap the Account name to see a list of available Account Workspaces linked to your email.
  3. Tap the Workspace you want to switch to.

Switch Account Workspace on the dashboard

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
  2. Select the Account Workspace you want from the dropdown menu.

Things to know

  • Assignar remembers the last Account Workspace you were logged into and opens it next time you sign in.
  • You only see Workspaces where your email has an active account. If a Workspace is missing, ask the admin for that account to add or check your email address on your profile.
  • If you only belong to one Workspace, the switcher does not appear in the mobile app or on the dashboard.
  • On a first login, you may be asked to choose a Workspace after entering your email and password.
  • Workspace names can take a few seconds to load. If they are not clickable straight away, wait a moment and try again.
  • Always close one dashboard Workspace before opening another. Actions taken with two open in different tabs can replicate to the wrong account.
