Use the Users page to add and manage everyone in your account, from field workers to dashboard users, in one place.
|
Before you start You'll find the Users page under Resources > Users in the dashboard. |
What's changed
The Users page brings together several pages that used to sit separately under Resources. Everything you used to do on those pages now happens here, split across two tabs and a few buttons. User Search is the only part that stays on its own page.
| Looking for | Where to find it now |
|---|---|
| Workers | The Workers tab |
| Dashboard Users | The Dashboard tab |
| Employment Types | The Employment Types button on the Workers tab |
| Deactivated Users | The Active filter, switched to Deactivated |
| User Search | Still its own page, under Resources > User Search |
Find your way around
Both tabs share the same layout. Here is what each control does.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Workers and Dashboard tabs | Switch between field workers and dashboard users. Each tab keeps its own columns and view. |
| Active filter | Switches the list between Active and Deactivated users. It sits at the top left of both tabs. |
| Search and filters | Search by name, employment type, city, or postcode. Click the filter icon for advanced filters such as skills, competencies, tags, and app version. |
| Columns | Show, hide, and reorder the columns in the list. Your choices are saved per tab. |
| Export | Download the current list as a file. |
| Email Qualifications | Email a worker's qualifications. Appears on the Workers tab only. |
| Employment Types | Manage your employment type names. Appears on the Workers tab only. |
| Add New Worker / Add New User | Add a person to the account. The button is labelled Add New Worker on the Workers tab and Add New User on the Dashboard tab. |
Add a worker or a dashboard user
Use Add New Worker on the Workers tab to add field staff, and Add New User on the Dashboard tab to add office and admin users. Both open a panel where you fill in the person's details and click create.
The worker panel also includes an Allow Mobile Access toggle and an Employment Type field. A worker needs Allow Mobile Access turned on before they can log in to the Assignar Mobile App.
For the full steps, see Set Up a Worker and Set Up a Dashboard User
Edit a user
Click any row to open the user's profile in a side panel. Update their details on the Details tab, adjust what they can access on the Access tab, then click Save.
Deactivate, restore, or delete a user
Deactivated users now sit behind the Active filter instead of on a separate page. Switch the filter from Active to Deactivated to see them, then use the three-dot menu next to a user to restore or delete them.
See Archive / Unarchive a User and Delete a User for the full steps.
Manage employment types
Employment types, for example Full Time, Casual, and Part Time, are managed from the Employment Types button on the Workers tab. Click it to add, rename, or remove a type.
The Employment Types window, opened from the Workers tab.
See Set Up Employment Types for detail.

Things to know
- The Active filter defaults to Active. Switch it to Deactivated to find users you have archived. This replaces the old Deactivated Users page.
- Employment Types and Email Qualifications appear on the Workers tab only. You won't see them on the Dashboard tab.
- A worker needs Allow Mobile Access turned on before they can log in to the Assignar Mobile App.
- The same person can have both a worker account and a dashboard user account. Each one shows on its own tab.
- Column choices are saved per tab, so the Workers and Dashboard tabs can show different columns.
- User Search has not changed. It is still its own page under Resources > User Search.
